Case Study: Risk Management – Loss Control

Risky Business: New Market Demand Prompts Need for Loss Control Professionals

Our Client hired two Loss Control professionals who have made a valuable impact to the organization.

  • Position: Risk Management – Loss Control
  • Client: Regional Insurance Carrier founded in 1935, Rated ‘A’ by A.M. Best
  • Issue: Our Client, faced with new market expansion, asked Career Transitions to identity Risk Management talent in the southeast region of the U.S.

Since they had no existing ‘footprint’ in the region, they asked us to educate the regional talent pool regarding the company’s reputation, not only as an A-rated carrier, but an award-winning employer; and explain the company’s overall growth objectives.

  • Solution: Career Transitions was tasked with sourcing and identifying candidates with Loss Control and Risk Management experience to cover a multi-state territory, ensuring adequate coverage for the southeast region of the United States. Through a combination of research and networking, we were able to identify multiple candidates experienced with reducing potential losses, and developing programs to mitigate these losses. Strong knowledge of Commercial Property and Casualty coverages was required, as well as a solid comprehension of OSHA and DOT regulations.

Through a series of interviews, we selected two strong contenders for the role. After negotiating and offering relocation to one of the candidates, our client hired both Loss Control professionals. These new team members provide the coverage required to adequately manage the region, and have made a valuable impact to the organization.
