Career Transitions Holding, LLC Spam Policy

E-mail Communication

Career Transitions utilizes e-mail as a communication channel with customers, job seekers, and vendors/suppliers. As a customer or prospective customer, you hereby acknowledge and grant Career Transitions permission to communicate with you via e-mail (as well as other communication channels such as phone or fax) for any purpose Career Transitions determines to be relevant including, but not limited to, business inquiries, project communications, system messages, confirmation messages, newsletters, service announcements, product offerings, and other marketing messages within our business sector. Career Transitions will use best efforts to honor customers’ requests to opt-out from receiving e-mails, but under no circumstances will Career Transitions have any liability for sending any e-mail to its users and customers. Any communications using e-mail will contain an employee or company representative name, telephone number, a return e-mail address and an unsubscribe option.
Career Transitions does not sell, re-sell, or distribute e-mail information. We acknowledge the sensitivity of our communications and restrict access to such information to Career Transitions employees, contractors of Career Transitions or legal defined entities representing Career Transitions.

Spam Policy

On occasion, Career Transitions sends information to both customers and prospective customers about the services we offer, marketing programs, economic information, and general business information. These messages contain e-mails to both customers and prospective customer who have provided the e-mail address to Career Transitions or acquired through our research discovery process including, but not limited to, confirmation e-mails on business listing inquiries, opt-in newsletters, opt-in e-mail alerts, follow-up e-mails on listing inquiries, listing services, research services, product databases, other communications related to the customer’s expressed interest in supplying their contact information to a business listing and other voluntary or involuntary submissions of information for use by Career Transitions. Career Transitions does not tolerate the transmission of SPAM. Career Transitions reviews the Federal Communications Commissions (FCC) and the Internet Corporation for Assigned names and Numbers (ICANN) regulations regarding unsolicited communications and adjusts accordingly to the newest standards.

Reporting Unsolicited E-mail

Career Transitions has a network of independently owned and operated industry service providers that utilize a central communication service supporting Career Transitions job streaming channels. Despite our concerted efforts to prevent unsolicited (SPAM) e-mail relayed through Career Transitions servers or affiliate network, unsolicited e-mail may sometimes get through because of the actions of Career Transitions external streaming channels. We view SPAM as a serious violation of privacy and a misuse of the Internet in general. If you believe you have received an unsolicited e-mail from a domain belonging to Career Transitions, please contact us immediately so we can resolve the issue. Upon your call or receipt of your e-mail, we will do our utmost to take any actions necessary to stop SPAM messages. You can also opt out from receiving Career Transitions e-mail messages.

How We Define Spam

We define SPAM as the sending of Unsolicited Commercial E-mail (UCE), Unsolicited Bulk E-mail (UBE) which does not represent our core business service that include employment, staffing, contracting, employment transition support, recruiting, business intelligence, research or generally practiced services that influence labor markets. This can include, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Email Messages.
  • Newsgroup postings.
  • Windows system messages.
  • Pop-up messages (aka “adware” or “spyware” messages).
  • Instant messages.
  • Online chat room advertisements.
  • Facsimile Solicitations.

Spam Compliance and Prevention

Career Transitions asserts its compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act.

Consent of Recipient

There are two types of consent: express consent or inferred consent.

Express Consent

Consent may be a specific request from an addressee to receive messages from you. For example:

  • The addressee has subscribed to your electronic advertising mailing list;
  • The addressee has deliberately elected to receive messages or advertisements from you; or
  • The addressee has specifically requested such material from you over the telephone.

Inferred Consent

Consent may be inferred by considering the conduct of the addressee and the relationship between you and the addressee. Examples of where consent may be inferred are:

  • An addressee has provided its electronic address when purchasing goods or services in the general expectation that there will be follow-up communications.
  • Online registration of a product or a warranty.
  • Where an addressee has provided its address with the understanding that it would be used in communications.

Spam Prevention

As an additional measure to prevent the distribution of SPAM via the Career Transitions e-mail servers, Career Transitions utilizes a SPAM ‘firewall’ to scan every inbound and outbound email message that is sent and received by the Career Transitions email servers. Although no method, either manual, procedural, or systemic, is 100% effective in preventing SPAM, the efforts and investment that Career Transitions has made are evidence of our commitment to and understanding of the importance of preventing SPAM.

Changes to Our Spam Policy
