Did you know?

E-Verify System - E-Verify (formerly the Basic Pilot/Employment Eligibility Verification Program) is an Internet-based system operated by the Department of Homeland Security in conjunction with the Social Security Administration. The system allows participating employers to electronically verify the employment eligibility of newly hired employees, regardless of citizenship. Beginning on May 21, 2009, federal contractors and subcontractors will be required to begin using the E-Verify system.

Revised I-9 Form - The new I-9 form contains new employment eligibility documentation requirements; it reduces the number of "List A" documents that may be accepted as proof of both identity and authorization for employment. However, the use of the revised I-9 form has been delayed until April 3, 2009. Any use of the form prior to April 3 could result in civil monetary penalties.
