Elizabeth has a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration and earned the Senior Professional Human Resource designation (SPHR) in 1995. She has additional training in Crisis Management and Emergency Medicine.

She currently holds memberships in the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), both National and the Michiana (local) chapter. She serves as Legislative Representative on the Michiana SHRM Board of Directors.
